GEORGE L. GILES YELLOWJACKETS
AMERICAN LEGION NATIONAL CONVENTION
RANDALL ISLAND - NEW YORK CITY - AUGUST 1952

The Yellow Jackets Junior Drum and Bugle Corps was organized in 1931 and was in operation until 1967.  The Corps competed in hundreds of contests down through the years and were past State and National Champions of the Sons of the American Legion.

The Yellow Jackets have two spons, George L. Giles Post No. 87 of the American Legion (A.L.), and Major Charles L. Hunt Post No. 2024 of the Veterans of the Foreign Wars (V.F.W.).

The Corps always was a "crowd pleaser" wherever they competed.  Their concert "Sweet Georgia Brown"  helped gain them additional fame and respect througout the Midwest.
